Prioritising Pelvic Health in Maternity Care: Awareness, Treatment, and the RealBirth V4 Pelvic Health New Module
14 April 2025
We’re proud to announce that we have won the Partnership with the NHS Award at the Medilink North of England Helathcare Business Awards 2025. This award recognises outstanding collaboration with the NHS, and we’re incredibly grateful to have been recognised for our work in maternity care.
The ceremony, held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, brought together more than 200 leaders and innovators from across the healthcare sector to celebrate collaboration, progress, and innovation. It was a privilege to be part of such an inspiring evening, surrounded by so many organisations making a difference.
Over the past three years, we’ve grown significantly—both as a company and in the impact of our work—thanks to strong partnerships, a shared mission to improve outcomes, and the support of an exceptional team.
Most recently, we were proud to launch the UK’s first personalised birth planning programme, a major step forward in supporting informed choice and shared decision-making in maternity care. This programme is designed to empower pregnant women and people with tailored, evidence-based information to help them make confident decisions about their birth experience. Being the first of its kind in the UK, it reflects our continued commitment to innovation, personalisation, and improving outcomes for families across the country.
“We’re so honoured to receive this award. Our partnerships with NHS teams across the country have been central to everything we do. It’s been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and impact—and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our amazing team, the support of SBRI Healthcare, and the collaboration of the Health Innovation Networks.”
— Zoe Wright, Founder & Director, The Real Birth Company
Support from the SBRI Healthcare programme has been instrumental in helping us take our ideas from concept to implementation. Their funding has enabled us to grow our impact and bring our innovative approach to more NHS sites. Alongside this, the Health Innovation Networks have played a vital role in connecting us with the right people, generating insights through market research, and supporting our overall strategy.
“Huge congratulations to Zoe and The Real Birth Company on their recent award. We have worked together since 2022, developing SBRI applications and pitches, strategy and local market research. This award is testament to the effort and collaboration the team develop with all their sites.”
— Athina Lockyer, Kent Surrey Sussex Health Innovation Network
This award is a reflection of the drive, talent, and compassion of our entire team—and the trust placed in us by the NHS teams we work alongside. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved and excited for what lies ahead.
