Midwife Zoe Wright, Founder of The Real Birth Company recently complete a successful training event with 11 fabulous midwives from the South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. The one-day ‘Birth Choices Awareness Workshop’ held at the end of October focused on fostering informed birth conversations and delving into various aspects of childbirth and the language of birth.
Expressing her delight, Zoe Wright highlighted the exceptional commitment shown by all participants, emphasising that the workshop was an engaging platform for exploring diverse perspectives on birth-related topics.
“The day was incredibly rewarding as every participant was fully engaged and invested in discussions about birth, aiming to enhance their approach to informed conversations,” mentioned Zoe Wright
A post-training survey conducted among attendees revealed overwhelming positivity, indicating that the workshop’s group size was optimal, and the course itself was rated very highly. Notably, the participants particularly enjoyed Session 4, centered on biomechanics and supporting physiological births for individuals undergoing more complex childbirth scenarios.
“This workshop aimed to empower midwives with comprehensive insights into supporting varied birth experiences. The feedback we received underscores the effectiveness of the program in meeting its objectives,” stated Zoe Wright.
The interactive nature of the workshop facilitated robust discussions, enabling participants to glean practical knowledge and strategies to enhance their practice. TRBC remains enthusiastic about the impact of such workshops in advancing informed birth dialogues within the healthcare community.
