Digital health technologies have the potential to transform the way health and social care is delivered in the UK, but they also pose some challenges and risks that need to be addressed. These include ensuring data security and privacy, maintaining ethical standards and public trust, overcoming technical barriers and legacy systems, ensuring digital inclusion and accessibility, and evaluating the impact and value of digital interventions.
ORCHA reviews help to provide people with health apps that are continuously assessed against standards and regulations in clinical and professional assurance, data and privacy, and usability and accessibility.
These assessments help with providing trusted and reliable resources that can help the NHS in many ways, our digital health technology supports the NHS maternity service by:
Improving access and convenience to birth preparation information: enabling people to access care information and advice from anywhere, at any time, through their digital device. This improves community midwifery appointments and pressures, by enabling more informed and personalised conversations.
Enhancing’s efficiency and productivity: by sharing information faster, in smaller informed web-pages, that supports making informed decisions based on data and evidence and reduces errors in digitally translated information and mis information.
Supporting prevention and personalisation: Our digital health technology empowers people to manage their own health and wellbeing and provides hospital specific care that meets their needs and preferences.
